4/2/2010 Snow in April?

We woke up to cold and gray skies today, and sure enough, before long it was snowing, and sticking. This should have been April Fool's Day--a joke by Mother Nature. It is actually sort of cool where Lindsey and Carl live that we can watch the weather approach. This morning we could see snow in the hills and mountains to the north and watch it come across the river towards us. No playground today and no Loop Trail. We headed to Fred Meyer to walk the aisles! 1.65 miles, most of it in the store pushing Alice in the shopping cart. Pretty sure we covered the whole store. Spent quite a bit of time in the toy section and ended up making a few minor purchases just for Alice. Between that and food, it is quite amazing what sort of bill you can rack up when you spend an hour in a store.  When we got back home we made Easter Bunny cookies after our afternoon nap. A good task on a cold snowy day.
